Bristol Flyers have begun building their roster for next season by re-signing Brandon Boggs.
The American forward was approaching the end of his previous contract, but has now committed until the end of the 2017/18 season, with an option to extend for a further year.
The 25-year-old made 33 appearances for the Flyers last season, averaging 11.5 points per game on 51% shooting from the field.
“My first year in the BBL was a really good experience,” Boggs told bristolflyers.co.uk.
“It was a rough start to the season, but once December came we really found our identity as a team.
“We really want to continue the momentum we had at the end of last season.”

After a 1-11 start to the 2016/17 season, Flyers won 15 of their next 20 league games to book themselves a place in the BBL play-offs with their highest-ever league finish of seventh.
For Boggs, the decision to return to Bristol for another year was a simple one.
“I had already made my mind up that I wanted to come back here before the start of the play-offs,” he explained.
“I really settled into life in Bristol and I can see the club’s going in the right direction.”
Boggs has become an important part of the Flyers roster since arriving from Kongsberg Minors in the Norwegian top flight in the summer of 2016.
“The BBL is a much more competitive league than the BLNO in Norway,” he added.
“There are more people who can score the ball in the BBL and it’s a little harder to guard people.
“I’ve been in the gym a couple of times a day since I’ve been home, just trying to get ready for the new season.
“I feel like I can come back and make an even bigger impact on the team this year.”
Boggs will link up with the squad for pre-season training in August, as Flyers begin their preparations for the 2017/18 campaign.
“We’re very excited to have Brandon returning to our roster for the 2017/18 season,” said head coach Andreas Kapoulas.
“Brandon’s energy, attitude and professional approach on and off the court brings to life what we are looking for from a Bristol Flyers player.
“He was a key contributor to our team last season and his athleticism really sets him apart from other players in the league.
“It has been great to see his improvement throughout the year and we look forward to the impact that he will bring to our team next season.”
