Nottingham Wildcats have started to re-load for the 2017-18 WBBL campaign with the addition of American guard, Aleysha Lovett.
The 24-year old played most recently at CD Ponce Valladolid in Spain where she averaged an impressive 17.9 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
The University of Cincinnati graduate will embark on her second pro-season and stated: “I am truly excited about joining the Wildcats as this is a great opportunity.
“I am thankful that the Wildcats have welcomed me to their program. I am eager to bring scoring, being a great teammate, hard work, sportsmanship, great character and I want to help this team continue their legacy of winning.
“Thank you again Wildcats for welcoming me to join the family,” she added.
Meanwhile Wildcats’ play-caller Dave Greenaway commented: “I am very excited with the addition of Alyesha to our WBBL team. Her offensive skill set and versatility on the defensive end will add a great dimension to our new look roster.
“Alyesha has been on my radar since last year and I’ve kept an eye on her while she played in Spain in LF2, where she was the fifth leading scorer in the league.
“I look forward to working with Alyesha and I am confident that she’ll be a influential player for us throughout the upcoming season.”
