The signing spree at Glasgow Rocks is continuing after the club confirmed it has recruited 6ft 5in shooting guard, Hayden Lescault.
The Californian completed his debut professional season last year, having joined German side BG Karlsruhe in 2015. He began his basketball career at Vista Del Lago high school in his native California, where he won the league championship as well as being personally awarded three All-Tournament MVP accolades.
Lescault then moved on to Point Loma University in San Diego, where he averaged 16.6 points per game in his junior year, with 11.5 points per game in his senior year.
During his sophomore year, Lescault achieved a team best 100 assists – notching up an impressive average of 3.44 per game.
Rocks’ head coach Sterling Davis is happy to have added further strength to his roster and commented, “Hayden is a versatile shooting guard with good size and a very high basketball IQ.
“He is a specialist when it comes to shooting the ball, but also very good at putting the ball on the floor and getting to the basket. He has some pro-experience which is great to have with the group of guys we have put together up to this point.”
In his season with Karlsruhe, Lescault averaged 13.8 points per game and was part of the side which finished the season 21-5. Karlsruhe finished at the top of the Southern Section of the German Pro B table, meaning Lescault arrives in Glasgow in strong form.
