How did you get into basketball?
I started to play because my sister played and I went to watch all her games. My mother played handball and I liked it too, and in my school everyone played handball – but I preferred to play basketball!
Do you have any superstitions or rituals before you play?
It is not a strong superstition, but I try to eat the same food before each game, play with the same jersey number and when I play well, I put on the same clothes for the next game (socks, spandex…).
What has been your best basketball memory so far?
Basketball has given me lots of good moments, but maybe the most important for me was when I played my first game in Liga Femenina (1st division in Spain) with my sister and when we won an important final.
Favourite basketball arena?
Principe Felipe – it is a basketball arena in Zaragoza. When I was a child, I watched many games there and when I was 18-years-old, I finally got a chance to play there.
What sports do you enjoy outside of basketball and who do you follow/support?
Really basketball is my preferred sport but I like football too, my favorite teams are Real Zaragoza and Real Madrid.
Who would you want to play you in a film of your life?
Penelope Cruz because she is a Spanish actress!
What would be your perfect weekend?
It is difficult to sum up in one weekend, but it would include an interesting game where my team wins and I play well – followed by a lunch or dinner with my family and friends. After dinner we would go to a party. On Sunday we would do something quiet like go to the cinema or go bowling and have lunch!
At school your best subjects and your worst are/were?
I think that my best subject was Biology and I finished my Bachelor degree in Veterinary science one year ago. My worst subject was English and yet look at me now, I live in England!
Your coach has asked you to organise a team-bonding activity. What activity would you go for and why?
Although sometimes it is difficult, I think it is very important that all the people on a team get along on and off the court. I would organise a dinner with all the team and do some games or activities afterwards. I think this would bring everyone closer and it would be fun.
Who or what makes you laugh?
My family, my friends, and my flat mates can all make me laugh. I consider myself a happy person, so it is not difficult to make me laugh.
Who and/or what do you find really annoying?
People that lie, as I can´t understand this.
You win millions in a competition – who do you tell first and why, what do you buy first and why?
The first person would be my sister because we have a very good relationship. The first thing that I would do is take a trip around the world, and later I would buy big house and a good car.
If you didn’t play basketball, what other sport would you like to be a pro in and why?
I would like to be a professional volleyball player, football player, skier, or tennis player. No particular reason why, they just look fun.
Finally, tell us something hardly anybody or nobody knows about you?
I love to ride horses, but when I was three or four years old, I fell off a pony because the men holding the leash let it go and the pony took off galloping. It was very funny because I was riding by myself for a minute and when it reached the stable, I fell off but I was not hurt. When I got up, I looked at the pony and was very angry. I still remember his name! Years later I fell off my horse two-three more times but fortunately I was never injured.
