Why did you choose basketball?
Well I come from a basketball family. I grew up on the side of a court watching my parents play and coach and then my sister too, so as soon as I could start I did and I’ve not stopped since.
Do you have any superstitions or rituals before you play?
No, not really but sometimes if I play well in a certain pair of socks I will try to wear them next time.
What has been your best basketball memory so far?
Winning the championship with Riders last season.
You have an opportunity to work one-to-one with the greatest women’s basketball coaches in the world. What would you ask them to help you with?
I would probably ask them to help me with my offensive skill set, so I can get better at winning one-on-one match-ups. But a lot of things come to mind, so I would probably try to get the most out of them as possible!
What would be your perfect weekend?
A chilled weekend somewhere beautiful (probably a beach) with family and friends.
At school your best subjects are/were and your worst are/were?
My best are psychology and history, probably because they interest me the most. And my worst was probably art, as much as I wanted to be good at it I never really was.
You have one song, one movie, one drink, one type of food and three famous people to live with you on a desert island – what and who do you choose?
My one song would probably be Maxwell and ‘Pretty Wings’ to create a nicely chilled vibe. Forrest Gump would be the movie as it is so long, it will pass time. My drink would be cream soda and my food would be (that’s a tough one because I love a lot of foods!) probably burger and fries. The people I would choose would be Adam Sandler, Jonah Hill and Seth Rogen, because they would have me laughing constantly.
Which of your team-mates has the best and worst fashion and musical tastes?
It’s hard to say, but I think Jess (Davies) has the best fashion taste as I would pretty much wear anything she does and we talk about clothes together quite a lot. As for music, I always love when Kas (Evans) plays old school jams in the changing rooms and worst is probably Anna (Forsyth) and Robyn (Lewis) as I have heard them singing along to some questionable songs on bus journeys home!
Who or what makes you laugh?
My nephew (most of the time), since he comes out with the funniest things.
Who and/or what do you find really annoying?
The Harlem-shake and the ice-bucket challenge – did you experience either?
I did do the ice-bucket challenge with my team-mates but the bucket (well Gatorade cooler) of ice was so full, that they couldn’t lift it above my head and just got my back – so hopefully that still counts.
What other sports/sportspeople do you like and/or which other teams do you follow and support?
My Dad follows a lot of sport and I usually get into supporting whoever he is supporting when I watch it with him, but I have no specific preferences myself. My whole family also supports and follows the Golden State Warriors.
Your coach is coming round for dinner and you have to cook (no excuses) what would you make them?
Most likely steak and sweet potato, because it’s my favourite – although I should probably find out his favourite and cook that!
Finally, tell us something hardly anybody or nobody knows about you – a secret crush, special talent or anything at all?
My two puppies are named after Steph Curry and Klay Thompson!
