Worcester Wolves have signed up another new player ahead of the start of the 2016-17 BBL season.
Andrew Bachman joins ‘the Wolf Pack’ from Tiffin College in America where he recently graduated and that means he will re-join former team-mate, Ashton Khan.
“I am extremely excited to be joining the Worcester Wolves basketball club,” said the 6ft 6in guard.
“I have heard many good things about the club, Coach [Paul] James, the current roster of players, and the level of fan appreciation.
“I am eager to get started and work hard in order to earn court time as a first year pro and do whatever I can to help make the team better.”
Last season Bachman averaged 11.2 points per game at Tiffin – shooting 35%from behind the three-point line and 80% from the free-throw line. He also amassed 5.3 rebounds per outing.
“Andrew will bring more quality and competition to our guard positions and I like that,” commented Coach James.
“He is a talented player who reads the game well and scores in different ways, so I’m very happy that Andrew has decided to join our basketball programme.”
Wolves’ Managing Director Mick Donovan added, “As the new season approaches, we have been really happy with our recruitment so far and Andrew certainly strengthens the Wolves team that we will be putting on the court.”
The Wolves will play two pre–season home games ahead of the regular season opener against Cheshire Phoenix. The pre-season games will be played on Friday 16 September against the DBL Sharks Sheffield and on Monday 19 September against Bristol Flyers.
Both games will tip off at 7.30pm and tickets can be purchased from the University of Worcester Arena box office online at www.ticketline.co.uk/worcester-wolves or by phone 0844 888 9991 or via the Ticketline Mobile App.
