Eagles, Rocks and Lions all do the business on the road

Esh Group Eagles Newcastle survived a major scare at Cheshire Phoenix as the title chasers eventually outlasted their hosts 72-79. That went some way to making up for their BBL Trophy exit 48 hours earlier, with Jaysean Paige standing out by netting 23 points. There was also a nice landmark for Eagles’ guard, Drew Lasker too.

Glasgow Rocks made an immediate return to winning ways after going down at Scorchers on Saturday night by riding past Plymouth Raiders 81-95. Gareth Murray and Earl Brown brought the noise with 27 and 21 points respectively.

Meanwhile Cory Dixon produced one of the best lines of the season so far with a majestic triple double of 21 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists, as London Lions triumphed 62-94 at Leeds Force
