Although he was drafted by the Spurs, it remains to be seen if the Spurs will be utilizing his talent next season. The Spurs are known for drafting foreign players in the second round but they will let them develop their game first by playing overseas.

The British Teenager was not one of the big names in the Draft but he was able to impress a lot of scouts in the Draft Combine that was held in Chicago last month. He was able to stand toe-to-toe with top prospects, who also participated in that event.
Richards started his playing career with England’s Medway Park Crusaders when he was just 13 years old. He has also represented England in different international competitions like the Under-16 and Under-18 European Tournaments.
Last year, he played for the Juniors team of Gran Canaria in Spain where he averaged 10.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in just 18.4 minutes per game.
As expected, the Washington Wizards selected John Wall as the number one overall pick in the Draft while the Philadelphia 76ers settled with Evan Turner. The New Jersey Nets selected Derrick Favors as their third overall pick.
