Jennings jets in for Riders – Women’s British…

Leicester Riders have signed American wing Chelsea Jennings as they continue their preparations for the new WBBL Season.

Riders will be hoping that Jennings who is known as a versatile scorer, will play a big role both on and off the court for the WBBL Cup holders.

A college career with Texas A&M has been followed up with pro spells in Greece, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Iceland.

Last year while playing for U.M.F Njardvik (Icleand-D1) she averaged 21.3 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game & 2.9 assists per game.

“I am super excited about signing with the Riders,” said Jennings. “I am really looking forward to enjoying a great season.

“This will be my sixth year as a pro and I hope to bring the team extra leadership as well as utilising my scoring ability to make the team successful. I also want to help develop our younger players and make all those around me better.

“I would like to thank the Riders for this opportunity and I can’t wait to get started with my new teammates”

Coach Washington added, “Chelsea is a dynamic two way player who can get the job done at both ends of the floor. She will bring experience and high energy to our team which is what we will need this season.

“I’m excited as a coach to try and help Chelsea continue to grow as a player in her professional career.”
