The Surrey Scorchers take a commanding 21 point victory at home over the Glasgow Rocks to secure their fifth win of the Championship season.
The game was in the balance at the end of the first with only one point separating them, in Surrey’s favour.
However, the second quarter was a huge quarter for the Scorchers, leading by as many as 17, as the side found rhythm from three point range, shooting 60% from deep at the half.
Surrey didn’t slow down after the half time interval either, coming out strong again in the third, with guard Tony Hicks scoring seven in the quarter, and the Scorchers outstretched their lead to 22.
The Rocks edged the final quarter by one, but Surrey still provided some spectacular moments, including two fantastic dunks from Wake Forest bound guard Cam Hildreth.
Ryan Richards led the scoring for the Scorchers with 13, and the bench provided an incredible 41 points between them.
The scoring was evenly distributed between everyone on the Scorchers, with eleven of the twelve players who saw action on the court scoring.
It was also a memorable night for Mayo Adeyeye, who scored his first professional points for Surrey, and Martelle McLemore, Emondre Rickman and Hildreth all scored 12 points.
It was a tough night for the Rocks, who sank to their fourteenth defeat of the campaign, keeping them bottom of the standings.
Christian Keeling led scoring for the game with his 14 point performance, but no other player was able to make it into double figures for the visitors.
